Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 package (10.5 oz) Hershey’s Kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
  7. Roll each ball in the additional granulated sugar.
  8. Place dough balls about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Immediately press one Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
  11. Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, bake for the shorter time.
  • Ensure your butter and peanut butter are at room temperature for best creaming.
  • You can substitute milk chocolate kisses for the classic milk chocolate.
