Quick and easy homemade applesauce made in your Instant Pot. A healthy, preservative-free recipe perfect for meal prep or a delicious snack.
Ingredients

- 4 pounds apples (about 8–10 medium), peeled, cored, and quartered
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Place the quartered apples, water, cinnamon, and lemon juice (if using) into your Instant Pot.
- Secure the lid and set the vent to the sealing position.
- Cook on High Pressure for 8 minutes.
- Allow for a Natural Pressure Release for 10 minutes, then carefully perform a Quick Release for any remaining pressure.
- Open the lid. Using an immersion blender or a potato masher, mash the apples to your desired consistency.
- If using sweetener, stir it in now. Taste and adjust cinnamon or sweetener as needed.
- Serve warm or let cool completely before storing.
Notes
- Choose a mix of sweet and tart apples for the best flavor.
- For baby food, omit sugar and lemon juice and mash until very smooth.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
