- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
- Peel the green bananas. Cut them into 1-inch pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add cumin, turmeric, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir well.
- Add the green banana pieces to the pot. Stir to coat them with the spices.
- Pour in the coconut milk and vegetable broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the bananas are tender.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
