  • 1 (10 oz) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Shredded cheddar cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, condensed tomato soup, chili powder, and cumin. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. For deeper flavor, simmer longer.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, topped with shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
