Make a large batch of rich and creamy hot chocolate in your slow cooker. Perfect for parties or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups whole milk
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1.5 cups chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine milk, heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk in a 6-quart or larger slow cooker.
- Whisk in chocolate chips until well combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is hot and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve warm with desired toppings.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of different chocolate chips.
- Keep warm on the ‘warm’ setting for up to 4 hours.
- Stir before serving to prevent a skin from forming on top.
- Customize with toppings like whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or peppermint sticks.
