Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan before frosting.
- To make the frosting, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and creamy.
